hot water circulating pump - Mike Holt's Forum

is it required for a hot water circulating pump to be GFCI protected and if so or not where is it in the code book Assuming you are referring to a pump used in a hot water loop for a commercial building.

If hard wired, no; unless 110.3(B) comes into play because manufacturer requires it.

If cord connected, it would depend. See 210.8(B).
