Yaoguang Wire Mesh Product Page

'Afternoon All,

Would anyone here know of a source for P-E 16th scale hexagonal chicken wire mesh screen? The Firefly I'm building had it's turret wrapped in Hexagonal Chicken Wire Mesh to hold foliage (based on the photo I have), and having no luck in locating anything that looks close to scale.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Chris Preston

Gday Mr Preston, not P.E. but I have used a synthetic product used to fill out dresses that when painted is a close representation.
I used it with some success on German helmets.
I will try to get some pics up soon. HL JAGDPANTHER,HL TIGER 1,HL PzIII MUNITIONSCHLEPPER, HL KT OCTOPUS,HL PANTHER ZU-FUSS,HL STuG III,HL T34/85 BEDSPRING,

Now that looks exactly like what I'm looking for. Do you know where I could purchase this?

Cheers,

Chris

Are you interested in learning more about Hexagonal Wire Mesh? Contact us today to secure an expert consultation!

It looks like Mr Bix beat me to it, I was going to suggest you took a trip to a local material/cloth stockists and told/showed them what you're looking for.
It looks like a fine "Tutu Mesh Tulle Fancy Fairy Bridal Petticoat Material"

Another alternative is smaller scale model railway chain link fencing. Mick - The grit in the underpants of life!

"Tutu Mesh Tulle Fancy Fairy Bridal Petticoat Material." I try not to be prudish or old-fashioned, but I do think an old guy like me walking into a fabric store with such a request might raise a few eyebrows and chuckles. Nonetheless, the material looks great for the purpose!

I too have had some fabric shop moments that roll the eyes !
But that material description is spot on.
I got some in white and black. HL JAGDPANTHER,HL TIGER 1,HL PzIII MUNITIONSCHLEPPER, HL KT OCTOPUS,HL PANTHER ZU-FUSS,HL STuG III,HL T34/85 BEDSPRING,

Not as bad as the type of places Barry C frequents to obtain the rubber for his M1 Abrahams skirts
Of course, I have no idea how he found out about such places Mick - The grit in the underpants of life!
